About the author.

Once upon a time my husband started a blog and I totally made fun of him.

Like many things in our life, it only took about 6 months for me to decide that he was horrible at updating it, and for me to take over.

Now I can't stop writing.

I say it's for my children, but the truth is that it is my voice.  My voice is my salvation.  My salvation is my sanity.

I am a writer, an artist, a volunteer, a teacher, a friend, an amateur baker, a self proclaimed foodie, and a lover of peace.

One day a 20-year-old told me I was really funny for a 40-year-old.
I was only 32 at the time.
But I'll take it.

My loves in no particular order: compost, photography, collage, cupcakes, children's story-books, cool new music that just magically appears on my ipod (thanks husband), recycling, Jesus, movies and t.v. shows that involve spontaneously breaking into singing and dancing, cheese, red wine, wrapping presents, metalsmithing, online window shopping, sunshine, when someone practices good design, cardigans, little girls in pigtails, the sea, Michigan, warm summer rain that smells like wet concrete, getting to an event or meeting and finding out there are free snacks, tapas, girlfriends, outdoor living spaces, home decorating, my dog Cooper, and babies.

Oh yeah, and I am a mother of three fearless superheroes.  It sounds luxurious, but mostly involves cleaning up a lot of urine, kissing a lot of ouchies, and receiving a lot of hugs.  So yeah, it is pretty awesome.

Hi Tiffany, what is your instagram name? I'd love to follow you; I am adopted from Korea like your beautiful and sweet boy, love Jesus, and find it incredibly inspiring to read about your family! I live in Colorado, and am recently married, young and 24 -- I've told my husband how I would love to live and raise a family (for a little while) somewhere else. I have an adopted Korean brother, though we aren't biologically relate;, it's one of the most important things about me, because I can tangibly understand what it means to be chosen, sought after like I was by our King. Thanks for sharing your life here! Will be a regular reader :)

Hi Tiffany, As someone from NI, I'm wondering if you were working at the Corrymeela Community? Loved your interview on Cup of Jo.
